Default Active Driving Display Opens and Closes incorrectly

This just happened just today in my wife's 2014 GT. There is info in this thread: I called up Mazda and the dealer says there is no bulletin on it and won't consider fixing it unless they can replicate the issue. Has anyone had this problem? BTW, your infotainment display shows the Active Display option "greyed" out so you can't even disable it when it won't open.
