Hey guyz,

Was wondering something. How much would a dealership charge to have an aftermarket spolier painted?

I know it\\\'ll be expensive, but just would like to know. :)

thanx!

Hey dabomb, if you\'re looking for a \"stock\" look spoiler then check out this (http://www.carccessory.com/) site. I bought my spoiler from there. They cary both the raised spoiler and the lip spoiler. If you want one of those aftermarket aluminum spoilers, than anything will do!

good luck

Hey Biz,

Quality is really good. it comes with all the hardware required and because they are base out of vancouver, shipping is quick and cheap. It comes primed and ready to paint.

Did you paint and install it yourself?

I had a shop paint it for me which cost around a 100 and Mazda installed it for 60... It seems really easy to install, but being a new car, I\'m not quite ready to drill 4 holes through my trunk :D ...

really though, it shouldn\'t be to difficult to install in order for you to save some moola

I ordered a floating one.
My body shop is painting it for about $110.

Not bad.

Hey Bomb, they seem good and they take paypal. but be prepared to wait a little bit.. 2 weeks from states to BC and then a week or so to your house, then paint and install... Bout a month.. I guess its worth saving $400.

Yeah, I was checking it out as well too. Hmmm...I can deal w/o a spoiler right now. Perhaps I\'ll get HIDs...:)

If i remember correctly, it took about 1.5 to 2 weeks to get to my house... I was pretty surprised.

The spoiler is now in place and looks great.. no wobble either (vibs when you slam the trunk) Check em out.. I would buy from them again.

Hey PSIVIC, i\'m pretty sure it\'s secured with double sided tape. If that is the case, you should be ok doing it on your own.... Just a thought

Both spoilers carry the same labour in the accessory guide, lemme check with parts in the morning. If you don\'t have to drill anything, I would recommend you do it on your own too...

The lip spoiler has to be installed on the lid by two end studs. So yes you have to drill the trunk lid. Oh and it also comes with double sided tape.

If it\'s just tape I would definately do it myself but if there is any kind of drilling then I think I\'ll leave that up to a dealer ;)

Thanks for the info guys!

Hi everyone,

Sorry to up this old topic, but I\'m looking into getting an aftermarket spoiler for my hatch. Does anyone know where they sell them in the GTA? I\'d prefer something different than the stock spoiler, but nothing to crazy!
