I\'ve been looking around for a chip to modify our ECU. From what I\'ve read on Mazda3forum, they haven\'t come up with one for the 3 yet. But when I search on ebay. I see people advertising for a speedchip. This looks like BS, I guess that might be why he has so many negative comments. How can he make such an outrage claim. What does everyone think of this chip?

do you really want us all to respond?

\"First comes the famous 50$ “EBay Performance Module†that promises you a 20HP boost. Actually all it is a 4.7K Ohm resistor that fools your engine into thinking that it’s cold outside, which results in your ECU advancing the timing by 1-2 degrees. SAVE YOUR MONEY, You can do this yourself (an article will be posted soon), furthermore the 20hp gains are true if you are testing this on a big bore v8, otherwise expect nothing but a 2-3hp boost.\"

If that chip is so unique to each vehicle, why does the bid state that it fits almost every car in the Mazda line up?
