I have a Protege 5 with silverstar bulbs for my low beams (H7\'s)
I am turning my car in to lease a Mazda 3 in the next couple of weeks,
does anyone know: are the stock bulbs in the mazda 3 similar or better than the silverstars? and will these bulbs will fit in the mazda 3?

Yes the 3s do have H7 type bulbs for the low-beam, but with a projector lens. :)

Silverstars are a bit whiter, and seem a tad brighter. Any H7 bulbs will fit into the mazda 3.

I have a question. I\'m picking up my car tomorrow and i\'ve already bought bulbs for the headlight but i remember on the drivers side it\'s jammed pack and hard to reach to change the lights. Any instructions that can lead me to changing that bulb?

it may seem that way, but all you do is take the battery cover off, then the battery vent along with that other thing connected to it... then you\'ll have all the room you need. ohh and no tools required... If you need more detailed instructions, I\'m sure the manual will show you how to replace the bulbs.

You have to remove that plastic cover with the 3 clips to get at that bulb.

i have installed the H7 headlight bulbs into the car but the bulb on the drivier\'s side appears to get brighter before the other one when i crouch down. it\'s almost like they are not pointing straight. i have taken them out and put them in but with the same results.
it bothers me because the bulbs can only go in one way.
i have looked at my buddy\'s 3 and the bulbs on his driver\'s side does the same thing
any advice would be appreciated?

There\'s an adjustment bolt on the bottom inside corner(towards the middle of the car) of the light housing that allows the aiming of the light to be adjusted. Use a #10 socket or wrench.
(i\'m assuming it\'s the aiming of the bulb, though the driver side is suppose to be aimed lower than the passerger side)

thanks for the info
it has to be the aiming of the bulb because my driver\'s side bulb is pointed higher than the passenger side.
is there one adjustment bulb for each light housing... (i would assume so - might be a dumb question).
i\'ll give that a try - or at least have a look later.

is what you are talking about the bolt that looks like you can use a phillips screw?
it is located between the low beam and the high beam.
because i didn\'t see anything that was located near the \'middle\' of the car
thanks

Newer cars (and I\'m going to assume the MZ3 is one of them) have special aiming of the driver\'s side low beam headlight so that it will not blind on coming drivers as much. This is especially noticable on higher class cars like bimmers.

it\'s on the light housing near the bottom. can\'t use a screwdriver since there\'s not enough space.. need #10 wrench or socket.

awesome! it worked
i did manage to use a screwdriver (a short one) because i don\'t have metric wrenches here at work and the adjustable was too big.
