Since I don\'t have enough money for a full exhaust, i was wondering if anyone has put a decent muffler on their 3, and how the fitment was? I see a lot of decently priced ones on ebay and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Thanks.

Look into the local custom exhuast shop... stay away from the Midas/Speedy guys.
Ask what they would charge to run a bit of larger pipe from the cat to the back with a muffler thrown in there somewhere... the fancy mandrel bending is a little over-rated for our cars, as is stainless...
shop around... I believe Canadian tire has glass paks and magnaflows on sale until friday..
But of course I am gearing up to spend 6 bills for an exhaust.......

That\'s really not too bad for a cat-back. I had spend $900 for the exhaust system on my civic, and to be honest, I felt it was worth every penny.

:( Great, My first Thread Jack........ sorry...;)
Vibrant is cheap.. $$ wise... maybe quality too??? at least ya get 10 horse out of it :)
The Magnaflow is ok... but I have heard not so great things about quality and it seems louder than most (and no dyno info)
HKS $800 -nice sound...buzzy I think
Borla $800 -nice sound...no performance
Draxas $800 -good sound...performance plus
SR Mtrspts $1000 -overpriced Draxas copy I think
*sigh... I am great at the procratination thing by the way........:sarc

I have a magnaflow muffler if you want it. Stainless steel, 2.25 in/out straight thru, I used it on my 3 for a couple of months before switching to Draxas, fairly quiet .. I do miss it\'s sound. PM if you want it! ;)
