Waddup to all you drifters and Initial D fans,

I just grabbed a copy of The new movie supposedly releasing later this summer and there wasn\'t any slow parts of the movie. The movie was taken from the anime, and the race sequences where crazy!

<<<<<SPOILERS>>>>>

Review
This movie is as close as it can get to the Anime. very small details from the anime were used

Good parts:
Race sequence..........The drifts were crazy, but there must have been camera majic!!!
The actors who portrayed the Characters... Takumi was good as well as Bunta ,Ryouske, and Myogi
The Cars, frigging to a T.... Oh how I like the FC, it looks clean but aggressive, the GTR, Trueno Silvia and EVO where awesome.
Acting: Pretty good

Bad parts:
very quick changed to one story to another.
FD and Keiusuke wasn\'t in the movie..... Instead it was Takeshi who wanted revenge on Takumi.
Shingo wasn\'t there, Impact blue wasn\'t there
Iketani and Itsuki was a character in one called Mui!!
You can see Bunta\'s eyes

Overall:

****

im going to have to disagreee mainly cause of what HK did to it =p. haha there were alot of IMPORTANT parts either completely left out or squeezed into 5 seconds =p. but yes it was a good movie to just watch! however u must realize the anime was alot more complex and different =p.

but its understandable for a just under 2 hour movie =p. i think they should of split it up =/ like the series was. have like stage1.2.3 movies =D wouild kill in the box office like infernal affairs lol XD

Hope you understand Mandarin. The copy I got from pmall was crisp clear DVD copy but unfortunately, there were no english sub-titles and no Cantonese soundtrack on there so i didn\'t understand anything. Shame since the quality was like a straight to DVD movie.

I saw it in HK the first week it was out. :D
I thought the drifting was so-so. Most of the drifts were initiated with e-brake which is a poor drifting technique. :(

It\'s a pretty good movie. I saw it couple of weeks ago.

i thinked it sucked big time, the story isn\'t even the same as the cartoon. jay chow can\'t act and so can\'t edison... only bunta and takumi\'s friend was good.. and there was this music that resembled polka music when they were racing.....

lol I understand Mandarin... I\'m gonna pick one up although I\'ve already watched it... Personally I\'m disappointed with Jay Chow\'s acting (especially when he can race with just 1 hand... errr...)

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the movie... but for the best drifting videos I\'d stick with Formula D specials...
