Ever check underneath your car? This is how my car look like after going through 2 winters. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the rust? I am thinking about water sand and then apply rust check, anyone done that before?

You can sand it down to remove the rust but it\'s going to get just as bad 2 years later.

As for the rust proofing. Personally i would not recomment putting anything like that on the exhaust. After driving for an hour the exhaust will get extremely hot, possibly burning away the rust proofing, which may cause nothing but a hole in your pocket and I\'m sure a real nasty smell. Before you spend any money on something like that, check with the rusproof place what kind of tolerance their product has to heat.

One thing you can do as a precautionary measure, is apply a spray grease called \"white grease\" from CT... this stuff should hold up to the heat. I would only apply it to bolts and bushings (not on the actual exhaust though) to keep them lubricated. It will also slow down the rusting process. You\'ll thank me 2 years down the road when you need to get a bolt that\'s been exposed to the elements off. :)

Hope that help.

Yes I have looked, and have sprayed Rust Check on the support bracket, but not the pipes, as I agree it would be too hot. I have only one winter on my car, and I will try to take a picture tonight, if I can get low enough for my camera to focus well.
