tinted side mirrors?

lets see who can answer my question on this. We all know how bmw\'s and merdedes have the tinted side mirrors for glaire and such, also with the tinted rear view mirror. Can anyone confirm if this is tempered glass, or a film that goes on over the glass. If its a tint, where can we buy it?

For the Mercedezs, as fas as I know their blueish glasses are not TINTED by using films, they\'re actually dyed colour glassess.

as far as i know, they\'re auto-dimming... definitely not a tint, but how it works i can\'t answer u at the moment
