The same problem is starting to show on my sunroof. The rubber on the front edge of the roof is no longer glossy and seems like it is scuffed up. the other edges are still OK, but my car is only 2 months old. Maybe I will use some Armour All on it and see what happens.

Moved to Exterior (Mods -- although it isn\'t a mod). :(
I too have the same problem with the rubber around my sunroof AND MY 3 IS ONLY 6 WEEKS OLD!!!
A few of us noticed it at the last meet... don\'t know what to do to fix it properly, but if it gets really bad, you can bet I\'ll be bringing it back to get replaced under warranty!

Hey guys, I may be referring to something completely different, but I think what you guys are talking about is oxidation. Most rubber/plastic used on cars have natural oils in them to keep them from cracking over time, but if the car is under the sun for long perioids of time, the rubber will begin to discolour. Only time you should begin to worry if it starts cracking.
You could use products like this (http://www.canadiantire.ca/assortments/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444325 1511&FOLDER%3C%3EbrowsePath=2534374303517494&FOLDE R%3C%3EbrowsePath=2534374303517515&FOLDER%3C%3Ebro wsePath=1408474396670116&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=140 8474396670116&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474396670 271&bmUID=1124899269834) or this (http://www.canadiantire.ca/assortments/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444188 9959&FOLDER%3C%3EbrowsePath=2534374303517494&FOLDE R%3C%3EbrowsePath=2534374303517515&FOLDER%3C%3Ebro wsePath=1408474396670114&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=140 8474396670114&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474396670 271&bmUID=1124899437902) to restore the exterior trim pcs to their original colour. At the same time it will protect against UV rays and stuff. :)
My sunroof sounds like it needs some WD40 ... when i open it, no matter full open or just the tilt, it makes a loud squeak/mechanical sound ... much louder when the car was just a few months old. Also yes the rubber around the sunroof is OLD looking too on mine.

my moonroof doesn\'t have too much of the dried/out wear stuff. Just a bit along the edges.
What it does have is a loud rubbing noise when I open and close it. I\'m 99.9% sure it\'s just the rubber rubbing against the metal roof. So I guess it\'s not really a problem.
