When i was reading the thread by Mazda Kitten about bugs, i remembered that
I had a stain on my car that needs removing,

i think there is some white paint on my car, i drove over a freshly painted
white stop line, the bastards painted all the lines at the intersection,

anyways, there is white paint on drivers side

anyone, have a suggestion, i was thinking of goo gone, but . . . ?

CLAYBAR instead.

My bf swears by it. He constantly has overspray (from spray booths at his work) on his (black) car . Takes it off with the clay bar. Make sure to nicely wax it after :)

Goo gone would work too. It would most likely remove any wax on the surface as well. But Goo Gone is actually Rustoleum. It is a citrus based cleaner. We use it at work on everyting, plastic, metal, fabric. Gets off paint, grease, dirts. Very nice stuff.
I would stay away from petroleum based products like varsol.

Thanks Sabio,

since one of my buddies has some goo gone i will give it a shot!
and i guess like with the claybar, wax the area afterwards

i\'ve used bug and tar remover on a previous car from crappy tire. i think turtle wax makes it.

you\'ve got to rub it a little bit, but if you let it sit a little, its easier. works well removing tree sap too

i guess everyone has a different method,
time to choose one,

my old method on a van i had b4 was
\"ah who cares, this car sux!\"
worked well!
