So I decided not to get leather seats when I bought the car a couple of days ago, but I may decide to get them down the road.. Whats is involved when I say I want leather seats, do they just remove the fabric and wrap it with leather or do they do somehing else and some prices and places would be great. Thanks guys

Well, when you say \"they\" I presume you\'re not referring to a dealer cause they won\'t do it. You have to go to a shop that reupholsters interiors and ask them to wrap the existing seats in leather. Keep in mind that real leather will cost a lot, most people go for vinyl.
You could also try and find somebody who has the leather interior and wants to sell or trade, though I doubt that happens too often if at all.

Yeah they basically will re-wrap your seats and door trims if you want.
Maybe SABIO can recommend someone.
One of the members was selling his leather seats from his hatch I think al01??

Well most dealers have that option for $1500 or so, they probably send it out somewhere to do it, but they can get it done. I am assuming that since they charge $1500, it would be closer to $1k if I go direct to the people who do them.

I\'m confused, when you say they quoted you $1500, do you mean as an option prior to taking delivery (like when you order the car)? Cause you can get the leather option on 2005 models for something like $900 plus tax, and on 2006\'s it\'s more (I think around $1350 plus tax) but will come with a heated option and possibly in-dash 6 disc CD changer.

I already got it this past Saturday, I got the 2005 model. I dunt see much diff with the 2006 and plus i doubt I would be getting as good a deal on 2006. I paid $25700 on the road. The basic GT auto model. Also I am moving to Ottawa on Monday and other issues prevent me for waiting so there u go I got the \'05 LOL

now that the leather settled there is no wrinkles at all, let me know if you want more information

Shoot me an email (xtec_hid@rogers.com) for the lights install is pretty easy if you have any electrical know how, if not I do recommend getting it installed, Lockdown is a great place to go.
One a scare of 1 to 10 for the seat install I would say they are a 6, the first one was tricky as I was getting used to the tools and what to do after that the rest just blew by.
You remove the stock seats and install the leather kit over top using Hog Clips to secure it down.

There is a little how-to
