Kennedy Commons, Scarborough (Kennedy Rd., just south of Hwy 401)

Notes:
Central and Westside Pre-Meets are encouraged but are optional for attendance. They are set so that members can cruise together along Hwy 401. More details on the pre-meet locations are available here (http://www.torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=3428). All are welcome to attend; We do not bite! :)

Schedule:
2:45 PM - Westside Pre-Meet; AMC Courtney Park, Mississauga
3:15 PM - Westside departs for Kennedy Commons
3:00 PM - Central Pre-Meet; Interchange Entertainment Complex, Concord
3:30 PM - Central departs for Kennedy Commons
4:00 PM - All Members Arrive arrive at Kennedy Commons

Reminders:
Bring your camera(s)! (Still and Video!)
Bring an FRS Handheld Communications Radio if you have one. It will be useful during the cruises.
Please Bring a printed sheet of paper with your Real Name; TM3 Handle; Make, Model & Trim of your car; and any mods done to the vehicle.

Location Information:
Meet location is in the north end of the parking lot, just south of Casey\'s and west of TD Canada Trust. In the past, this section of parking lot seemed cramped for our needs. We may move to a different area of the lot if needed. This is the same location of Meet #10. Additional Location information is available here (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=887).

Just to post up an idea here for you guys...rather than standing around the kennedy commons parking lot for 2 or 3 hours, it should be a good time to join the twyn rivers cruise as well. You guys can meet up for like 4:00-5:00pm and from 5:00pm take the 401 east to lawrance, there is a small park where pplz fish from lake ontario and could be a nice location for photos...from there, we could take lawance back up to sheppard and turn into twyn rivers

I\'m gonna work up something with him and we\'ll have ourselves a mini Fall Tour in the Twyn Rivers area. One of these days I\'ll go grab some pics and/or videos of the drive and roads to get an idea.

Spyder01 - maybe grab the TOP peeps in on this cruise too if it gets finalized!

EDIT: TOP have their own exclusive event happening same day so no TOP; this meet (possible cruise) will be majority TM3.

The route to the lawrence place is east on 401 and exit south at Port Union/Sheppard. Then turn east on Lawrance and travel all the way to the end. I got the picture below in that area

From that location, all we need to do is travel bak west to Port Union, past 401 which then turns into sheppard. It\'ll make like a 45 degree turn before medowvale and thats where twyn rivers start

how long you guys want the cruise to be? i\'m thinking we can go a potential route once, about 45 mins, or extend it past an hour and loop back, back tracking along the actual Twyn Rivers Drive (http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=Twyn+Rivers+Dr,+Toronto,+ON&spn=0.021035,0. 028783&t=h&hl=en) road.

I went and checked out the actual Twyn Rivers Drive tonight... it\'s so damn short!!! Takes only about two and a half minutes and it\'s done! Luckily the \"planned\" route I got from Spyder01 includes more roads/area. Similar tight roads.

Anyways, here is a video I recorded. I recorded a second but when I try to upload to Putfile.com it returns an error :(

Anyway, its all up to you :) If you think its too short and not worth the drive from kennedy commons its all good :)

Meet up in Pickering.... and go UP Twin Rivers... and then drive on Sheppard.... to port Union.... then to Lawrence... and then enter the beach... gosh darn it

From the Beach Area .... Lawrence... North on Port Union... which turns into Sheppard.. then slip down into Twin Rivers Area.... go down... which then turns back into Sheppard... And hit an outside... or indoor bar... to chill!!!

I tried that last route before...hehe since the main attraction seems to be the tywn rivers road, i think if we were to visit the lawrance area first, everyone would be excited about the drive and wouldn\'t get a chance to check out the lake and take pictures. I\'ve sent wtom a route that would actually back track onto twyn rivers so we\'ll end up taking the same road both ways. So it doesn\'t matter if we visit lawrance area before or after.

When i was checking out twyn rivers, i have been told that the old finch haunted place was pretty near...I\'ve never went their after dark as the myth states thats when you actually see things. But a friend of mine was brave enough not only to visit the place, but got out with a group of friends with a flashlight and actually did the myth...not sure what they saw...hehe anyway, i wouldn\'t want to visit that place afterdark...hehe too scary

I\'ve been to the lawrence area today during a 2 hour break at school and got some pictures...now thinking about it, im not sure if that would be a good pit stop area, its about 10km from twyn rivers and not much there except for a nice background. The parking area is gravel and would bring up dust too...feel free to comment about this location :)

I also went by tywn rivers today and tried to get a day time video of the drive...lol :D its nuts! lol without a in car camera mount its impossible to get vid! almost missed that first turn going down the hill! When i got to the bottom of the vally after the initial steep hill, i saw this older version of the jetta on the side of the road and saw this blonde girl looking like she wants to cry or sumthing...i pulled to the side of the road and see what was going on, then i see it... She was coming from the other direction and her front tires has barely any trends, probably around 5mm left. Looks like she tried to turn really late from the looks of the tire marks but her car skidded across to the opposite side and hit the guardrail and bounced back to the right direction and stopped. She hit the front left corner of her car and from just behind the headlight, you can actually see the guard rail shape molded into her car...crazy...anyway i stayed with her for like 15minutes and then this toronto park clean up car stopped and i left since class was starting soon... yea, what wtom said, i didn\'t look at the speedo either but from feeling it would be around 40km/h or 50km/h.

I don\'t have an in-car camera mount either. All I did was put the camera on the tripod and tied the tripod into the passenger seat, securely. Then just position the camera before starting the drive. Improvise, ya diggit? :p

With gas prices being so high and members not too keen on cruising so far, this meet may end up being just a good ol\' meet in the parking lot.

guys, just wondering. fairly new here. so what\'s the meet gonna be like. do you just chill at kennedy commons or do you plan on also doing the cruise? and if you guys gonna be staying at kennedy commons, till what time will you guys be there.

me and my friends want to pass by but not too sure on what time we will be available.

Feel free to come by any time between 4pm and 6pm, pretty sure there\'ll still be some members there during that time. Not sure about the cruise portion at all. If there\'s enough interest while at the meet, then the group of ppl who want to do the cruise can go for it while the rest stay at KC.

sorry i didn\'t make the meet guys...was enjoying myself too much at the TOP picnic and by the time we left woodbridge, it was alrdy 4:30pm, it would take around an hour or so to get to kennedy commons and by 5:30, majority would have alrdy left for home or left for the cruise alrdy.

A small group of us (no more than 20) made it...even Tommy36 (?) from Buffalo made the trip up and sold a grille to Vixen. Majic scared the SH*T out of me with his driving after showing me his Simota intake. Pearl_Hatch showed up with his 2006, Autoexe debuted some new rims.
