View Full Version : brakes squeaking or whatever...

hey guys
so my car is relatively new about 2 weeks or so and has like 1000 or more K on it. Whenever i am doing minor breaking say backing up or doing precision turning and braking slightly and slowly releasing the brakes sort of make squeaking sound... i think its the breaks... or tires.. or something... anyone know what it is ?

most of us have that problem (squeaky brakes) and has been discussed before...

Yup, they were an annoying problem on the 2004s.

Tires don\'t squeak. Have your brakes checked by the dealer.

Post up the results.....our 2005 MZ3 also has this problem.

so they couldnt see anything wrong with the brakes... douldnt hear any sounds neither could i at that point.. and also mentioned the brakes were the updates ones.. after the bulletin.. and so we decided to take note if the squeakes happen once in the morning or always... so if its only first when i start driving then its most prob the moisture or whatever in the morning..

Ours only squeak in the morning, and it stops after one or two applications of the brakes.

yups thats supposedly normal. I will see if mine is the same too, i notice it definitely when I first start the car for the day be it morning or afternoon. I will pay more attention n see when it happens

i have that problem when i\'m in reverse for some reason. but on the sound thing i have a click when i down shift to first i believe, but i know when i down shift to turn i get a click everyonce and a while. anyone have anything similar? maybe i\'m just hearing things.
