Hi guys,

I know most of us have been brought here by one common reason - the love of our car and the facination w/ the automotive world, whether it be aftermarket, racing, or just meeting people w/ the same intrests.

I\'m here today for a different reason.

I am participating in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for
the Cure, on Sunday, October 2, 2005, and I am asking for your support.

I am one of more than 170,000 participants who will all be walking or
running on October 2. The money I raise will go to fund breast cancer
research, education and awareness programs across the country.

I need your support because with it, the Foundation can continue to fund
the research and programs that are helping improve the quality of life for
families touched by breast cancer.

Donating online! You can pay by VISA, MasterCard or American Express. Within 20 minutes, you will receive a tax receipt for any donation that has been successfully received.

To donate click here

Thank you. I appreciate your support! ;)

I am encouraging all to share some stories here since it seems many might be skipping over this section. Post survival stories, this does not have to be a SAD thread...

My grandmother had breast cancer a few years ago, but was lucky to have most of it removed with surgery. And my bf\'s mother also had breast cancer! She like many woman has gone threw surgeries and chemo therapy, but must remain on medication to ensure that it doesn\'t come back.

A close family friend was not as lucky. After surgery, chemo and a year of remission the cancer could no longer be repressed. She left behind a 6yr old daughter.

Unfortunately this is a topic that you can choose not to read, but for those who have to experience cancer they cannot.

Interesting topic

Lost my fiancé, cousin and grandmother to breast cancer. I hope that nobody else again!
The most horrible aspect of this is the chemo; it is really painful and sickening to see what they have to endure.

Wanted to commend you Electra on your efforts and good luck.

Civiclad I am very sorry for your loss!
My heart goes out to you.
And thank you for the support.

I know for many the TM3 site a great escape from work, but it is also a great platform to have discussions on matters that go far beyond that of our cars.
