Hi guys, I just have 1 technical question regarding the match of an alloy rim and tire.
Ok, I have a set of snow tires which are 195/50R16, will they fit on a set of rims that are 16x8?
especiall when they are 8\" width and my tires are only 195?
Thanks
Danny

a 195 tire size is 195mm = 7.67\" (195mm/25.4mm/inch)
the 195/50/16 tire wouldn\'t safely fit on an 8\" wide rim.

also, the Rim Width Range for a 195/50/16 tire is 5.5\" to 7\". and the Measuring Rim Width (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/tirespecskey.jsp#measrimwidth) is 6\"... so the 8\" rim is definitely out of range.

Thanks so much for the info, the reason why I am asking is I\'ve seen a set of 16\" alloy wheels on eBAY, but the size is kind of odd, 16x8.....

Correct me if I am wrong......

what model carry this rim design?? I never saw one.
I agree the rims are too wide for 195, if you mounted them together, it wouldn\'t be right angle for the corner but rather a \"ladder\" shape, tires will be wear out faster.
Besides you want to have thinner wheels for winter.

Yah me too wondering what model does this OEM wheel design for? From its shape, I doubt it is for Miata, but for its odd size, I suspect it\'s the Tribute......;)

OK, I am considering a set of 16\" Alloy rims w/the spec of 16x7, 40 offset on tires of 195/50/R16, will I be fine w/these settings on my car?!
Thanks,
Danny
