I\'ve been reading around for a while but i havn\'t found out any information regarding my trim level (the gx)
I have the very very basic stereo which includes the am/fm radio and *sigh* only 2 speakers. There are speaker grills in the back doors and I can only assume that the wiring for the rear speakers is in the harness. Can anyone confirm this for me? I dont want to pry the door panels off and risk breaking clips if they\'re not going to be there.

I have the GX, but not the entry-level stereo. Don’t be afraid to remove the door panel, it’s not that difficult, just watch you don’t pull the top rubber strip off by the window.

Removing the doors on the 3 (especially the rear ones) is sooooooo easy. I have no idea whether any type of speaker wire exists back there, but it\'s fairly easy to check.
Edit: I just realized that since this is the base you may not have power windows. If that\'s the case, I have no idea how easy/hard it is to pop off the window roller thingy.

The roller thingy is held in with a little clip, just a mater of finding the right tool to pull it out. Putting back is very easy, fit the clip back into the handle, and replace, just make sure you align the correct angle before locking into place.

In order to get the roller off you can use a small flathead screw driver indo the screw behind the door handel and the screw underneath the door closer handel on the inside and then just pop off the clips. If you need a hand maybe we could mee tup some time and i can show you what i mean maybe if you are willing to i can sell you some stock rear speakers and a stock 05 radio but it has 2 burned out leds because i tried to do an led mod to the radio
Let me know how everything goes if you wish to email me for more info feel free to dfrankenbach@gmail.com
