i hope i\'m not touching on a sore subject here, but i got a question that has been bugging me for a long time:
i was a casual hockey fan until the florida panthers came to be, and now i have been getting into it. so i recall a long time ago i was reading a sports illustrated and they had a story about a guy named mike palmateer and how he was gonna be awesome for the leafs. then i never heard too much about him so i was wondering if anyone could tell me what happened to the guy? like i said this probably shouldnt be posted here, but now i think of it, who else to ask?

This should likely have been posted in the General Lounge section, and have you tried Google?

Mike Palmateer has been retired for the last 10 to 15 years, not sure exactly how long. He was a goal tender. After retiring he had his own restaurant and bar. Also sold real estate in the northern part of Toronto. Has been seen in a commercial on TV.
