Hey when you guys are driving at 120 km/h was is your tachometer displaying? I have the 2.3L auto tranny and my car revs at about 3300 rpm at that speed. I was wondering what the 5 speed manual do, and also the 2006 5 speed automatic what does it do at 120km/h. My only dissapointment with this car is the tranny, wish it was smoother and had a lower 4th gear (or had a 5th gear like the 2006\'s).

I have the 5sp manual on a 2.3L, if I can remember correctly, the RPM @ 120KM/h is around 3100, a bit lower only, not too much difference......:(

IIRC the motor is at about 3200rpm or so when cruising at 120km/h (2.3 5spd)

Just go to the Mazda.ca website and look at the mazda3 Gear Ratio specs

my 04 2.3 4 speed does 3.5k rpm at 120...
