I just picked up a set of 4 black 16inch steels from Erin Mills Mazda. $75ea+tax $340 tax in for the set. Genuine Mazda steelies, made in JPN, in a box, part number 9965-40-6560.
Thanks to Flipspeed for the part # confirmation.

LOL. What\'s to see? They are just black steelies. Its not like you could recognize them as Mazda OEM steelies from a distance like you can with the alloy OE rims.

considering the number of people looking for a winter tire/rim package I thought this information may be helpful for some.
I\'d be happy to take a pic of my shiney new black steel wheels ... they look very similar to everyone other black steel wheel on the road though. You\'ve posted your pics on the other thread. Go outside, look at your car, then look at your steel wheels, mine look the same.

The only reason I went with the Mazda wheels was to get the proper fitment. At $75+tax they were in the same range as a universal steel wheel (+$75-100 for the set). I figured the little bit extra was worth the tight fit.
I see your point, they\'re just ugly black wheels, I wouldn\'t have wanted to pay much more of a premium than the $75-100.
I think Flipspeed posted these list at $160ea though I guess dealers make the price more reasonable during their winter tire sales.

Tires23 claim that their wheels are a hubcentric fit. Is the extra $100 premium worth it? For anyone who has already picked up steelies from Tires23, where are they made?

Check the above for info on hubcentric rings/spacers. Assuming proper fitment there should be no difference between the OEM steels and the ones Tires23 sell.
For the $ I prefered to go with the OEM wheels, I felt better going this route, that\'s all.

My nephew in Whitby called a few Mazda dealers in that area for me and he was quoted %119.95 per wheel. Anyone pay this much? I thought around $75 or was that some kind of sale price?
EDIT...no need to respond, I called Whitby Mazda-$119 and Erin Mills Mazda-still $75. Wow $180 + tax difference for 4.
Thanks,
everfeb
Markham Costco is selling the 16\" steelies for $50.00 each. I think they are the universal fit ones, and am not sure the size of hub opening...the sales people are too busy handling orders and I didn\'t bother to wait in line to find out.
