hey all,
I\'ve been thinking of getting some winter tires for my car but I hardly ever drive my car (living d/t). The only thing is that I tend to go snowboarding almost every weekend. In my last car I pretty much managed w/o winter tires going to Blue and Moonstone. I\'m not too sure if such an investment is necessary given that most of the bigger trips out of province I don\'t drive.
Any opinions?
thanks

if you only driving downtown, then probably you don\'t need it. but if you\'ll drive your car outtown very often, then you should have one.

the way i see it.. a set of winters will cost you about $700
1) that\'s how much deductible is on insurance 500-1000 so after your frist accident you will regret not getting them
2) they prolong the life of your other tires since you use them 60/40% of the year..
3) when you go to blue, hwy 26 isn\'t always cleared RIGHT away so right there it\'s a good reason
bottom line, if you can afford ~$700 for tires, i\'d say do it.. go get the cheapest package you can and you won\'t be dissapointed..
