I just got a call from my Optometrist telling me it’s been a year since my last eye exam. I said I will wait for next year (my work only pays for new eye glasses every other year), but the lady said new Ministry of Transportation rules require annual eye exams if you drive. First of all, I am not 80-years old, and I have never heard of this. I said again that I will wait for next year, and she was okay with this. I guess they are hard up for money since eye exams are no longer covered by our health care.
So my question, can anyone verify if there really is a new rule from the Ministry of Transportation about annual eye exams? I looked on the Internet and found nothing, so I think it is probably a bunch of bull.
Thanks.
