Despite what Simota is telling you, the first intake\'s heat shield is Carbon Fibre overlay on top of fibreglass (i know, i have one of these intakes).

Pretty good intake, nonetheless...it does its job (i have the increased air flow numbers to prove it) and if you\'re selling it for less than the $300USD that Simota has \"mandated\" to other vendors/distributors, then great! :D

and the intake IS MEAN sounding and does give better throttle response.. :D

actually could anybody tell me if this is suppose to be happening? On the Simota site i found a dyno sheet http://www.simota.com/pdf/in_twin.pdf on the dyno sheet it shows that at higher revs its only as good as stock... When i checked other manufacturers dyno\'s, their dyno\'s always beat the stock.. i\'m a noob so yea.. just being a cautious consumer :)
