huh.. i dont get it
I believe the premium and navi trim levels of the CSX have HIDs standard.
I have a ticket for the CSX launch event at the KoolHaus next week - I\'ll drop by to check it out if I have time. I like how they did the same thing as the TSX (which remains one of my favorite cars on the market today) - they brought the JDM model over and rebadged it as an Acura.

nice... I make those seats too. But not that many wrinkles...And those seats have been loaded with what looks like armour all. ?
The CSX will be produced in Alliston. Side by Side with the Civic... Same car.

the 1.6EL was also a rebadged JDM model...the Honda Domani (http://carpictures.duble.com/picturesphotospics/hondadomanipicturesphotospics.htm)...which, being built alongside the civic in alliston, was essentially a Civic-in-a-suit .... same with the CSX

Don\'t like the ext styling ...
Front looks like Saturn Ion Coupe + Acura CL. And rear looks like 1.6EL + New Jetta

dont like it , simply put .
the navi one will push close to 32000 or so ive heard . Who wants to pay around 30000 for a civic? Ok, it has alot of goodies but look at the heart of the car (the engine) ... not worth it for the price. Better getting a TSX

Saw about 6 of them in my condo\'s garage last week... I think Acura was holding some sort of press conference near my condo with the CSX...
They look pretty good in person... I\'ve got some crappy phone cam pics that I\'ll upload later.

see,
THIS IS a car i would be, and currently am, extremely interested in. for 30k theres more than enough goodies to make it worth it. i love the styling, interior and exterior, and its not THAT slow, it has a rsx engine in it, if i remmber correctly from acuraworld (not the type-s engine).
but man this car is really realy intriging. i would never buy the civic fully loaded, but an csx i might! lol brand and image :sarc :D
2 thumbs up for acura

meh.. too pricey for what you get.. i guess you get the ACURA image and that\'s it.. rest is a civic and IMO the front is fugly.. from the side it looks like the civic as well and the wipers (asynchronous/inwards) are annoying..
i liked what ACURA did with the 1.6 EL.. much nicer than the civic and much DIFFERENT styling, very pleasing.. now you get 2 identical cars.. one with a few luxury amenities (come on.. paddle shifters on a 155hp car????) and whaaaam huge ass price tag...
i\'d still get the mazda3.. slap a turbo on and bam.. still cheaper :)

wow a turbo\'ed mz3 is still cheaper then that acura?!?! hmm *rethinks himself*
lol i like change in some aspects of life. witth cars i would like to try them all ya know. and yeah the paddle shifter thing is kind of ridiculous, btu with the 5speed auto thats pretty fun, unlike my 04 4 speed auto lol... damn new things are always better then old things
personally speaking the latest 1.7el with aero kit looks VERY nice... very vewry sporty, buti then u get into and look at the itnerior and its boring.. not really \"ugly\" but boring... lol
EDIT: just wanted to add, that i have never personally used a navi system or even touched one, i am confident i will never use that navi system and would not get it with the car if i had to wait cause im impatient and waiting sucks :hoho

I went to the debut of this car at the acura dealership today. It was a nice car much better than the non-si civic. The headlights and nav look amazing! the best thing about the debut was the open bar :hoho ! and the 3 nsx\'s:)

In Japan & Russia they have a 4-wheel drive version of the Domani. It\'s not too bad & i wouldn\'t mind having that feature. As for the CSX, other than the Navi & the HIDs, i\'m not particularly liking the car. I\'ve seen pictures of the interior & i wasn\'t too-too impressed. I was really disappointed with the EL after the 2001 year came out.. i still think the MB4 chassis (96-00) Was the best looking one (& i\'m not biased because i own one :D ) The interior of the later ones were absolutley gross... I remember going with Soopa when he was buying his 3 & when i saw the interior of those ELs, we booted over to Mazda prety quick - i\'m hoping the newer ones have improved.
Just got back from the CSX preview event!

$32K for the premium is a stretch. I would go for a TSX over this fauxcivic anyday. The CSX styling does nothing for me and the ripoff Mercedes idea of the integrated turn signals in the mirror housing looks out of place on this design. The rear needs a spoiler to add some visual significance but overall it looks like a committe got together and threw different ideas to keep a corporate theme in the lineup. They failed. The EL had a euro look - this one is karioke.:sarc

The Premium model goes for ~$28k. It only gets to >30k when it\'s decked out with navi and other options. That said, I\'m not a huge fan of the styling either. Same for the new Civic.

The CSX like the EL is sold in Canada only understandbly. The US Mazda3 comes with everything the CSX has, probably at a much lower price point also. But then, no Acura badge, if that stands for anything significant.....

The blue one had a different set of rims than the silver one, is that an upgraded rim for the Premium models? or is it just a temp. display rims for the show? They look so nice.....:)

The rims on the blue car in the picture above are accessory 17-inch alloys (P215/45R17). It\'s an available accessory for both the Touring and Premium trims (standard alloy on both trims is also pictured above, P205/55R16, with Goodyear Eagle RS-A).

CSX costs more to insure, and wasn\'t as fun to drive as the Mazda3.
CSX may be a better car overall (higher quality, more reliable, etc.) but it\'s a rip-off.
I\'d much rather just get the top-line Mazda3, save that $4,000 and buy a hand-held GPS navigation system.
:)
