Is the passenger weight sensor to sensitve or something? When my gf sits in the passenger seat the light comes on saying that the passenger air bag is turned off. I know there was a recall on the sensor but when I took it to the dealership they told me that there was no recalls for my 2004 GS. However, when my gf sits in the passenger the seat, the light will go on and off every now and then?

Is this happening to anyone?

She weighs more than the 80 or 90 or whatever weight it is suppose to be to make the light stay off.

yes it\'s true... Same here... sometimes on... mostly off...

Couldn\'t be a faulty part from Mazda could it? again.......

Did you guys take it to the dealership to see if there were any bullentins or recalls?

It sounds like there is definately something wrong with your sensors. No matter which of our 3\'s we\'re in, the light never comes on unless somebody pretty light is sitting in the passenger seat. If they are heavier or there is nobody there, the light does not come on.

Yea, if I have my work bag (weights about 10 pounds) on my passenger side the light comes on.. kinda freaked me out. Didn\'t know why until my bag fell off the chair and I was like hey cool the warning light turned off.
