Hey all,

Anyone know where I can get heated seats installed in Peel region? I have a 2005 GT which already has leather, I just wanted them nice and warm for the winter now.

Thanks,

Rick

Only thread i found with an actual location of a shop is here (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=62)

Company is called Protint (http://www.protint.ca/HeatedSeats.htm) and they are located in either Hamilton or Durham region. (not really Peel, but that\'s all i can find)

That thread is fairly old, so someone can let you know if there is a better/closer place to you.

You could buy a heat/massage overlay like I did and avoid the expense (and potential problems) with a retro fit. In addition to lower cost and full massage controls, you can move it from car to car or even use it indoors when appropriate.
Simply plug it in the cigarette lighter and your good to go!

The McQueen unit is sold at Walmart stores across the GTA for less than $40 bucks.
Another manufacturer is Obus Forme but this unit goes for around a hundred bucks at Canadian Tire.
I looked into adding the switchgear and seat heater installation from Protint but didn\'t feel the cost was justified. ;)

I never thought about getting a heated seat cushion. I\'d probably consider it but I\'ll probably never get to use it. With only one cigarette lighter outlet, my wife will probably hog it:p

In case if anyone was wondering, I contacted PROTINT and they are charging $324.95 for the driver seat or both front seats for $649.90.

can you vary the heat ? Like are there different \'heat settings\' or does it just turn to highest setting all the time

Just pick up a heated seat overaly for 9.99 at Canadian Tire; it gives you two settings too. Buy a splitter for the cig lighter and your wife will be happy too. DONE

I checked their website and it looks like a three position switch (off, low and high).

I\'ve used the Obusforme massage and heat cushion, for me I didnt like it was bumpy, raised the seat too high for me and u would have a huge controler and wires everywhere and the trouble it takes to put on properly u wont be using it in the house... so i would actually prefer doing it myself someone mentioned buying it from ebay... any links or info?
