Ok, my mileage has been pretty bad lately, but this last tank it\'s just ridiculous.
2005/12/18, Filled up 43.868L, and only 362.8km on the trip meter, so that\'s...
L/100km: 12.092 (on their website 9.2 city, 6.7 hwy)
MPG: 19.452 (on their website 26 city, 32 hwy)
I drive 50%/50% city/hwy, 2.3L GT, 5MT. Purchased it on May 20th of this year. I switch gears at around 3500 RPM.
I think there\'s definitely something wrong with my car, those numbers aren\'t even close to the ones they say on their website.
And the tank before last tank I got...
L/100km: 11.493
MGP: 20.465
Anyone else getting these kind of numbers or is it just me?

and here\'s why you\'ll NEVER see EPA numbers:
from Car and Driver by Csaba Csere (http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=27&article_id=10257)
highlights:
* The mileage shortfall is caused by EPA fuel-economy test cycles that bear no more relation to real-world driving conditions than a Sunday afternoon bicycle ride does to the Tour de France.
* And because we all drive differently, on a variety of roads, in many different climates, no single test can possibly predict the fuel economy every driver will achieve.
* The current city and highway test cycles, however, underestimate the mileage that almost everyone gets. And how could they not? The highway test crawls along at an average speed of 48.3 mph and never exceeds 60.

we should start a count of \"my mileage sux, anyone else experience the same\" threads.. :sarc
why don\'t you look in the \"fuel economy\" thread and you\'ll see you\'re NOT the only one.. happy reading 14+ pages :)

I get around 525km/h per 47L, so its not too bad, mostly city driving too. But I presume this tank I only get 420km/h since it took me 3 hours to get from DT to Richmond Hill, being slowed down by ppl going 10km/h in a snow shower. :sarc

I get about the same horrible gas mileage as you do but it\'s b/c I speed.
My right foot is defective!:p

I think i\'m one of those annoying people that complain about the mileage from the first month i got my car. I put out 13L per 100km. When ever i fill up my tank my trip computer tells me i can use 460km but i can never get that far. Max is 390. I do\'nt know where the other 70 went. Maybe in the atmosphere or someone\'s lungs. :D

I dont think it is a waste of space, until people start to voice their opinions on this matter we will never see a change (in the way vehicle manu\'s are told to report numbers).
I think your comment is more of a waste of space than the first post. Not to sound rude but the owner is voicing a real concern (the vehicle does not get the miliage numbers that are told to you at the time of sale). This is a problem.

It\'s a waste of space because there are at least 10 other threads where this has been discussed previously, as recently as today :sarc :sarc
