Anyone else enjoy grabbing a X-Large Hot Chocolate,
jumping in their Mazda3 and just driving around to look at Christmas lights?
Please note, this is not an invite just a rhetorical question..

If you know of a great house that should not be missed. Please let the rest of us know!

Watched that on TV last night, hilarious....as usual

i\'ve seen a couple here and there,
but they are far apart!

i say a nice one in oakville, at like wisnton churchill and 3rd line
saw i nice one in etobicoke, at lakeshore and tenth
there is usually a nice on in sauga, at like dixie and hickory, but the neighbors had been complaing
and when i went by to check it out the lights were off!

but yeah, i would be interested in hearing about some other worthwhile houses too!

Forgot to mention, I finally went to see this over the Holidays and I have to say it is way better than the pics/vids on the site. You gotta see it. and as for the music is like an Oakenfold remix of Christmas Classics. Gotta get the soundtrack... :)

if u go at the right times it is not bad, i have been lucky

try to go on a weeknight, like monday to wed it will be dead, almost you

but if u get there and it is busy, circle a few time and then pull into the outside of the roundabout when u get the chance,

I drove by with friends and family every year just to admire his work and snap a few pictures. It's definitely worth the drive.

lol

went by today at around 8-8:30? wow we got there and it was only like max 5 cars wiht us, as the day got later, it just got more and more crowded.

my friend was impressed XD, she was the one that linked me in the first place... she loves christmas lights.

i think its pretty pro how they use a fm transmitter to play the music to the cars (tune to 104.9). here i am, thinking like an asshat, they have soem kidna outdoor speaker XD

one of the sons was on the news a few days ago and said they switched to LED lights and now have about 4x the lights in the show.

I swung by at like 1am last night to check out the area. The lights weren't on obviously but dang, I could see all the wiring and actual lights/LEDs used. HOLY FARK! Gonna return one of these nights with the gf and wow her. Happy there's still SOME Christmas spirit in this society.

BUMP!!

From their website:

Setup for this year’s display is coming along quite well, despite the uncooperative weather conditions. We will NOT be turning the lights on December 1st like previous years. We are trying to reduce stress on the neighbours & neighbourhood by shortening the display this season. Therefore, we hope to turn the lights on sometime during the 2nd week of December. When we know, we’ll post a specific date.
Martin

Last year we finally got snow on Jan 15th. The day after they shut off the lights :(

Just isn't the same without the snow, can't wait until this year.

though the show is cool

its scary being there. all the other drivers and their sometimes inability to park lol. last year someone backed into my 3 month old mx5. it was a sad sight and couldnt have happened at a worse time.

but, if u park a little further and walk then its all worth it! no one to block your view too. besides, most phones these days have a fmradio built in anyways!

You don't need your own radio if you walk. You can hear the music streaming from all the cars out front. :D
