Last few days I\'ve been experiencing some squeaky noise in side what driving. At first i thought it was the chair but then after i was shaking around in the car and found out the seat belt buckle (or whatever it\'s called) is squeaking. Both the driver side and the passenger side have this problem and it\'s getting really annoying.

Anyone having this problem as well? Or just my car?

I have it too, though only the drivers side buckle. I suspect it\'s a problem with the 2006\'s as our \'05 doesn\'t do it.

Well I\'m almost due for my 8k service so i\'ll bring my car in and let them have a check on it and I\'ll give you a shout if they can do anything about it.

But at the mean time the sound is argggg so annoying.

Is this gonna be your first or second service? I just hit 3500km and am thinking about bringing it in for the first one.

The only squeaks I notice are when my car has been baking out in the sun the whole day, the switches for the moonroof squeak when pressed.

I had told MofT about the squeak and while they were investigating they tightened the bolt down there and all has been good since. Truthfully they said they couldn\'t hear the squeak but figured they\'d give it a tightening since they were there.

I have an \'06 and it squeaks as well. It also rattles a bit. Took me a while to figure out what the hell it was. From what I could tell it seems the clearance where the seatbelt tongue goes into the buckle is pretty big. When I go over bumps, I kept hearing a rattling sound, like metal was jingling against metal. I thought it was coming from the shifter area, but one day I had my hand on the seatbelt and wiggled it and it made that rattling sound. So the next time, I was out and went over bumps, I put my hand on the seat belt buckle and the rattle sound is gone. Whenever I have a passenger in the car, I can hear the seatbelt on that side squeaking.

I agree, it\'s really annoying.
