Ray has always been awesome to me. He was my mechanic when I had my Prelude and one of the only few people I would trust with my car. Because I had the intake in my car, I took the car to Ray when I started having problems. He tried to see what the check engine code was, but because 2005 mazda\'s run on a different software than he had he couldn\'t pull the code....so this is where he went old school. Listened to the engine, diagnosed the problem as a oil soaked MAFS and took it out cleaned it a bit and slapped it back in...it fixed the rpm problem for a bit, but it came back. I was ready to take my intake out to get the service done at mazda, when Ray saved me money and called one of his contacts at Mazda to get me in there hassle free. Ray could have made money off me, but didn\'t, thats how honest this guy is. Always a pleasure dealing with him...except when we go paintballing, as he is a maniac with a paintball gun!

Agreed, Raymond/Gilman Auto is a great guy/shop. I used to take my turbo civic to him cause I didn\'t trust anyone else. He was always straight up, which as you mentioned is a very rare traight among mechanics. The shop might be a hole but the quality of work is top notch.

he was working on this really hot NSX when I came in...and you\'re right the shop is like wow...rims scattered everywhere...exhausts lined up against a wall...:p but like you said he is known in the honda community as an awesome mechanic...doesn\'t hurt to have the fastest N/A prelude in TO.

Agreed. Gilman is one of the good guys. I only go to Gilman if I need an alignment on a lowered car, but if my cousin didn\'t own a shop, I\'d consider going to Ray\'s place.

+1 even tho I\'ve only gone the one and only time to get my exhaust installed (http://www.torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=995).

His address shows up more than enough times in our forums via search. ;)
