Fogged/frosted windows on the inside?

Hello,

Lately, the inside of my windshield, and the inside of the rear window, have been either fogged, or frosted up, when leaving work in the evenings. Tonight it was just fogged up, and after 3 or 4 minutes of defrost/AC, the window cleared up. Last week, there was one night where there was a thick layer of frost, on the inside, and had to scrap off an area to see out. I didn’t clear off too much, thinking it would only take a few minutes clear off, but after 10 minutes, there was still a fair amount of moisture left, and even after 15 minutes of blasting heat, there was still moisture on the outer edges, but wasn’t really obstructing my view. I know the heat sucks in my car, but someone told me it’s not normal to have any frost on the inside of the windows? Can anyone confirm what is normal? I can’t remember if any of my other cars had this problem?

I have the exact same problem you are describing. I have the same questions as well.

One thing you can do is let out the warm/humid air from your car before you get out. This air condenses on the windows when your car gets cold and thus forms the frost.

The problem of course is waiting around for it clear out of your car while your freezing your butt off.
One thing you can do i guess is when you\'re getting close to your destination, roll down the windows to air out your car...

Out of curiousity is it all of the windows or only some. If only some, is it always the same windows?

I have the same in my sedan, I get it on the inside of my windshield, 3 - 4 inches from the bottom up, along the entire window. Its kinda annoying... but, i can deal with it.

I agree 100%. I\'ve experienced this problem many times in the past with my other cars. I\'ve learned to roll down my windows or open moonroof just before I enter a parking lot, allowing any heat in the car to escape and allowing fresh cool air to enter. This definately prevents fogged/frosted inner windows. I also think it\'s good for the upholstry fabric/leather inside the car
