ok, well i posted about the popped tire
i never posted that the new deck i got was skippin
but it is
these are not mazda problmes, just bad luck and both are being taken care of

but on sat night, my car stalled/wouldn\'t start

i would turn the key and it would turn on and then just die out
if i gave it gas it seemed like nothing was happening
i had been havin some problems for a while with the car not starting and eventually starting
but this time no avail!

so i called mazda roadside assisitance (very hand btw)
got my car towed to westowne, it has been in the shop since like 8 and it is 1230 and they don\'t know whats wrong yet,

it has seemed to be an intermittent problem, and i am able to get the car to start occaisonally, acutally after the tow, i tried the car and it started, it died out in about 3 minutes,

so i am not sure what the problem is

i thought it was to do with my intake, but i am not so sure

i installed the intake 2 months ago, had my first CEL 1 month ago
and car problems for the last week,

ah well, i will let you know what the story is,

p.s, while it is in, i told them to check out the breaks cause they are squeaking when the car is cold, but that is pretty common, so i am not to worried about that. . .

Weird. Hope it\'s nothing too major. Don\'t worry man, just remember \"It can only get better\"

Could it be the immobilizer?

thanks for the well wish Junior, true say, after this it will be the start of all good things
for the car!!!

U know, i never thought of the immobilizer,
how does it work btw?
all i know is it immobilizes the car if it starts without a key

but i just got a call and the MAF sensor is being replaced!
so i am feeling a bit better!!!

i was hoping it was a sensor. . .

the breaks are not covered, as my car doesn\'t fit into the series of VINs
but i figured i would get the service, the squealing is annoying!!

Sounds like an imobilizer problem from his description.

question now is...is your MAF sensor being replaced under warranty? or are you being charged for it because of the aftermarket intake?

i suspect under warranty, they didn\'t mention to me
that it wasn\'t covered when they called me
but, i guess i will find out soon

they did call to specifically ask me if they should service the breaks or not!
would they be able to proceed with a repair at my cost without my ok??

Car picked up!

no charge for MAF sensor and labour

I was cautioned that a CAI may void the Warranty!

...if they can provide proof that whatever damage was caused, was a direct result of the actual CAI.

\"may\" is such a vague word, that doesn\'t really mean shit.

lol

yeah, i think that they were just trying to say

\"other dealerships\" ie. not Westowne Mazda
may have not warrantied this for you

so

The Mass Air Flow sensor is an important part. It\'s good, (well I feel bad saying that)that you had this issue. You know what I mean. If I have the same problem, that will be the first thing that I am going to check. Did they give you a reason for what happened to the MAF?
