Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a set of springs to lower my car. After tons of RESEARCHINGS (YES, I DO mean searches), I am leaning towards the following 3 sets, Eibach Pro Kit (F-1.4, R-1.2), Tein H Tech (F-1.4, R-0.9) and H&R (F-1.3, R-1.2). Reasons I chose these 3 sets are that they only lower the car with a reasonable measurement, thus the car would still remain some comfortbility while gaining the performance of being lowered, and that\'s why I stay back from those S Techs and Sportlines. I don\'t want the car to bounce like crazy on bumps, and I think the lower the springs, the faster the shocks would die. I need some opinions from people who has these springs or which one will you guys choose? Thanks.....:)

If you want comfort with look then go for H-techs. The prokits and the H&R springs both are really stiff and will bounce your ass on every bump. I\'m currently running H-techs but regret getting them because they\'re not stiff enough. I\'m saving moola on buddy club coilovers.

As for shocks. If i\'m not mistaken, after 1 and a half years to 2 years you\'ll eventually need new ones. Depending on how much you drive your car.

*edit* If you can seee my sig clearly, the h-techs front sits lower then it looks and you will think. And the rear ass sticks up a bit. So somethign you can consider about the looks.

^ that\'s exactly what I disliked about my S-techs - the rear end of the car just wasn\'t low enough to match the front! H&R or Eibach will give you a more even drop - personally I prefer H&R.

Also, Espelir springs will give a drop in a similar range. Domokun has a set on his car - maybe you can try to contact him.

Ya I also prefer an even drop on front & rear, I don\'t like how the ass will tilt up from the H Techs.....H&R probabely will be the choice, I tried sitting in my frd\'s RSX using Pro Kit, I felt too stiff, then I tried another frd\'s WRX using H&R, the feels were more comfort and solid.....but how about price wise? Which one is more expensive, Pro Kit or H&R?

Last time i had a quote for the prokits and the H&Rs. Prokits currently running at $310 cdn (could be lower) and H&Rs running at $390, again it can be lower. The prices i checked was 2 weeks ago.

And if you\'re going for prokits. Someone is selling them on M3F for $170 shipped. Go check it out. its a good deal.

If you decided to go with H&Rs I can double check the price for you at somewhere else ot get it cheaper.

I am actually going to buy a set of 17\" rims from Tires23, and I asked them to give me a better quote including the springs as well. So I hope that would work better for me on price wise.:)

Ya I knew that\'s a decent price for the spring on eBay, but I was afraid of the custom brokeage fees, especially when the seller uses UPS. I tried to calculate the cost, it would be a $50~$60 price difference compared with local price, but the custom duties are always an unknown.:(

what springs give you the best stability and stiffness? I really dont care about the drop as long as the springs give the car a tighter feel and take away the top heavy feeling of stock springs.
