From your previous posts i see you lowered your car with H-Techs.... with H-techs you shouldnt need shocks for a while . Go get your alignment done first

Not much to choose from...
MazdaSpeed I guess are the most popular

Bilistein are crazy $$$ ($250 each I was quoted by a rep from Bilstein)

And I got an email from KYB that they will have fronts available for spring but rears are still in development (or was it the other way around)

Holy JUMPING MOSES! 675$ For Koni shocks. Are these yellows or reds. I\'m not sure :hoho

Seriously; why are shocks so god damn expensive for our cars. Coming from VW\'s I can tell you that I\'ve seen Bilstein shocks (ALL 4!) for $275 brand new. SUP WIT DAT????

If their Koni yellows, its a pretty reasonable price for all 4, well....maybe not

I was sitting on my carpeted floor in front of my TV. I was petting my Siamese, when all of the sudden I got this big shock though my finger tips when I touched his nose. You should have seen him jump..:D

does anyone have the mazdaspeed springs installed? and if so did you have to install new shocks. I am pretty sure when I drop my car this summer I will pay out for shocks as well I want a nice ride.

Just becuase you put in springs to lower your car, improve road feel and handling, it dosen\'t mean you have to install new shocks.
The stock shocks are fine and dandy. The stock ones might wear out a little faster if you do alot of aggressive driving (Track). But they should be good for a few years with a lowered car.

Mine are done. They\'ve become so underdampened that I\'m now afraid to drive thru some places in town. The was lowered in June of last year.

I would says, get them when you need them.

Is there any difference to ride quality over the stock setup by adding aftermarket shocks?
I\'m too old to race on the track without the right equipment - I just need the 3 to run groceries right now and be lowered a touch. Maybe I should wait for spring - the Z06 needs nothing.
