just curious if anyone has experienced this.
yesterday i got in my car and thought \"gee, radio in toronto sucks sometimes, maybe i\'ll listen to a cd.\" so i attempt to switch to the changer. to my dismay i can\'t seem to switch to the cd changer. i press the cd button on the dash, nothing. i press the mode button on the steering wheel, nothin. it will only switch between FM1/FM2/AM.
anyway....i get home and i\'m sorta steamed but i try one last thing. \"what about a reboot\" i think. so i turn the car off and restart it. presto! it works. :)
has this happened to anyone else?

That\'s a new one for me. On one particular day that was cold there seemed to be a delay in changing from the FM mode to the CD mode. I just assumed that the cold temperature was responsible. Once the car warmed up it was fine.

that plus even on a warm day it takes a while for the mp3 cd to be recognized/played
Are you using burnt CD\'s?

Sorry, I deserved that one, let me ask again.
Did you burn the CD\'s in the changer yourself?
I bet you can buy mp3 CD\'s at pacific mall.

buying MP3 cd\'s would sorta defeat the purpose wouldn\'t it? ;)
fyi, i haven\'t gotten the MP3/CD changer installed yet. i still have the regular cd changer.
I was talking about a copied album.
You know when you make a copy of your collection for back-up purpose only. *wink wink*

I\'ve never heard of anything like this in my life in regards to car systems. Definately something strange. Doubt any dealerships would know about this either.
Good luck determining the reason for this happening, if you do find out keep us posted.

Wow, this just happened to me the other day! I was also fuming thinking I would have to bring it in to be checked, but as soon as I got home, turned off the car, then turned it back on, the problem is gone!
Maybe it is a \"new feature\" of the \'06 Mz3?? :p
