Alright, so I have been running one reflex blade that is 7-8 months old and a new Silblade wiper. The only reason I was doing this is because I was waiting for Lockdown to receive their new stock. So I let it run for a while and ended up taking about 3 weeks or so. So it ended up giving me some good time to compare.
***(No I am not trying to bash Lockdown)***

My first comparison, Silblade looks like any other wiper but has a different wiper compound with a 5 year gurantee. Eghh...The only thing that sold me was that my wipers were bugging me and well 5-year guarantee is great. Then after a couple snowfalls and rainy days I ended up noticing something. The water was actually beading off the windshield only where the Silblade wiper would wipe. Everywhere else it would just splatter and smear. I would even walk out to my car after a rain fall and see beaded water sitting where the Silblad wipers would wipe and just a sheet of water everywhere else. It is great! I mean they still ice up like regular wipers and aren\'t the greatest when you hit hi-speeds. Actually I found the Silblade wipers to perform just as good as the reflex at the hi-speeds as well. Sometimes even the reflex ones would not wipe and just jump across the windshield while the Silblade worked no problem.

So what I am trying to say is, I definately suggest a silicone wiper to anyone. Its like using rain-x on your windshields with the guarantee for 5 years. I tend to add the springs to the frame to help keep the wipers on the windshield at a later date.

I just had too many problems with the reflex blades, after 5 months the rubber ripped off and they wouldn\'t wipe at certain points. Others I know have had a good experience with them but for me they just flat out sucked.

I\'m running with Silblades too... so far so good. CT Reflex wipers imo are way over hyped.

I paid $25 a piece when Lockdown had them on sale, I am sure its not far off from that. Reflex are $21 for the 19\" and I think it was $23 for the 21\". Luckily I got CT to refund my money for those crappy things.

The Lexor ST sold at Wal-Mart also feature a graphite coated silicone blade. They have a 120,000km warranty and they sell for around $12-$15 each, somewhat cheaper than the Silblade They work very well in all types of weather and do not smear, crack, or harden whatsoever. After 1 year they still performed like new.

Too bad, I gave them away when I returned my last car. I thinking of going back to those once my Mr. Clean brand wipers wear out.

heh i hv the silblades as well, they are not bad but not as good as i hoped they would be.
ya the water beads off but not even close to the degress of beading with applied rain x
still good nevertheless :D coz i m too lazy to put rainx on anyway

but i was dissappointed because the silblades still had some streaks.. i was expected not to hv any at all :p wonder if it\'s just the weak mazda wipers arms.

Yes I bought the Mr. Clean at Costco because they were cheap.

They wipe like ordinary new rubber wipers would. Not bad nor spectacular. The wiper assembly seems to be of higher quality than similarly priced wipers such as CT\'s own metal wiper and other stuff at Wal-Mart in that price range.

Has anyone tried the rainX wipers? I only ask because I already have a rainX coating.

Personally I\'m going t otry again to see if walmart has those reflex knock off blades today.

So I take the Go train to get to work. I get off the train today and start walking in the crazy weather we are having. As I arrive to my car, it is COVERED in ice. Started the car, grabbed the brush with pick and headed out to clean. The pick did absolutely nothing at first, was just gliding along the windows. So I went to the windshield and started going at it all. To my surprise the section where the wipers reach comes off with no problems, everywhere else I had to use some force.

I have nothing but good things to say about these wipers! :D

I read your first post about the reflex, I was wondering if you had the same problems as I did. to start off I sometimes use rainx and I also use rainx wiper fuild. Now at first when I started using the reflex wipers I had no problems, a while after though they started to squeak. I dunt remmeber exactly but even when it was raining it would wipe automatically and it would squeak really really loudly and the only way for it to stop squeaking was to squirt some wiper fuild and it would be ok for a couple of wipes then it comes back again, I had to take them off coz the sound was sooooo bad and luckily i had the stock ones in the trunk. So when you mentioned it was not wiping some parts etc did they squeak? you know how rubber squeaks with glass right this was BAD>....

IT WAS A HORRIBLE SQUEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RJ3 can also vouch for that damn noise, it was exactly as you put it. I had the Silblade on the right and Reflex on the left and all I heard was EEERRRRHhhhhhHHggGGGHHHHHHHHh! HAHA

Definately hated how loud that was, wasted more washer fluid cause of that noise then I really needed. :sarc
