They look okay for the price, and the seller\'s feedback seems to suggest that they are pretty bright, however I\'d be concerned about how long they last.

All aftermarket bulbs that have the so called \"HID Look\" are the same. They are cheap in price, have a short life and look fugly. Not only are you reducing your light output over stock bulbs but you are making your car look ricey. If you don\'t have money for HIDs, stick to Silverstars but don\'t bother with the cheap ricer blue bulbs.

this is exactly what consumers report (with Pat Foren) showed the other day
- up to 3x the price of stocks
- MOST (excluding GE nighthawk) produced MORE lumens and greater distance than stocks
- potentially shorter life span
save up and get HIDs..

Has anyone tried the Sylvania brand bulbs...I\'m also in the market for the \"HID\" looking lights without the HID price.

to answer the questions from your other thread
Which brand should I buy?
really up to you.. cheapest? no name? mainstream? it depends on what you choose
Are their different things that I should be looking for?
yes and no.. they all will claim to be super-duper bright.. but due to the blue coating, which filters out all wavelengths other than \'blue\', may actually impede the performance (brightness in lumens or the distance the bulb projects the light)
How much should I be paying? (approx)
again, PIAAs will run you $100 a pair and sylvanias or GE ones (from canadian tire or pacific mall) will cost $20-40 or so
Are they easy to install? and how?
look in your manual - procedure on how to replace the bulb (and check out how people installed their HIDs or other bulbs since they all are the same when it comes to the bulb itself...)
ugh.. i just realized these sticky threads are avialable for more info here (http://www.torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=3069) and here (http://www.torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=2985)
