Rims are personal preference. Stick with 17\". 18\" cost a bit more.
Tein H-techs are the spring of choice. Nice drop, great ride.
CAI are pretty much the same. AEM is good value... The Mazda one seems like it has come down in price.
For RIMS and TIRES and Springs. (any performance needs)
Go see Billy at TIRES23 (http://www.tires23.com/)

You guys are harsh to the newbs :)
A couple of questions answered:
1. Rims. Personal preference really. If you want something light, and are on a budget I can get these: http://torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=5231 . I can also get Fast Wheels, ADR, BSA, RTX, Rota etc etc etc.
2. Lowering springs. Again, search to find drops and pics. Eibach make a great spring and so does Tein. I personally have the Basic Coilovers and love them. I can get you an Eibach Prokit for about $330 taxes in. I can get Tein, but need to check prices.
So if you wanted, I can do Rims and Eibachs for $1025 taxes in, and possibly even shipping to your house.
Email is better than PM since I can only send 1 every 24hours, and e-mail is unlimited LOL!..

Welcome to the forum, about the CAI IMO i think Injen is the way to go for gains and sound.
And for springs if you want your car really low then go with Eibach Pro kit but they are also expesive, Tein-H Tech nice drop, excellent ride and lower price.
Rims, 18\"s but the style is up to you.

I think you mean Sportlines for a really low drop.
