So, the woman and I are off to Europe in April. We will be staying at a friends place in London for about 5 days while they are on a cruise in the Med. We\'ll hang with them for a few days and do day trips outside of London.

Then we\'re off to Paris for two days where I am going to drop the bling I bought at BlueNile.com and ask her to marry me, aka end my life!:-)

We are also meeting up with two friends in Paris renting a van to drive down into the Burgundy wine region for two days and do wine tours. From there we\'re driving to Zurich for the last few days then flying back to the YYZ.

So if any of you have been to the land of Lindt chocolate, any recommendations for hotels, sites and restaurants?

Been to Switzerland but only in Lucerne. Things to do in Switzerland:

- chocolate
- watches
- alps - go up on the cable car.

Also, things are bit pricey in Switzerland so you\'ll need plenty of Swiss Francs.

Congratts (I think). Marriage does change your life!!! My wife is from London and we go there every year to visit her family. I have been to Switzerland and stayed in Interlaken and Geneva. Interlake was amazing - beutiful mountains and views, lots to do in terms of outdoors stuff. Geneva was boring. We stayed in hostels, probably not what you would want. I\'ll be in London from Mar 30 - Apr. 18, we\'re thinking of going to spain, paris or tunisia for a short break to get away from the in laws!!

have a good trip!

The Lake Lucerne area is awesome. And pricey.

Congrats on getting engaged (I guess technically when she jumps ya and yells out \"YES!\").

Congrats on getting engaged!

I\'m flying to Zurich this Sunday ;)
It\'s a business trip though so I won\'t have much time for anything else; might go to Bern for a day and that\'s it.

From what I\'ve been told it\'s very expensive country and not much to do other than skiing of course :D

Thanks guys, marriage won\'t be a big change, we\'ve ownded our house together with the bank for two years the day we leave and we\'ve been together for four years total.

Traveling is our thing and as long as we can afford to keep doing it we will be happy, that is IF she says yes!
