Your going the need to make a mount or something so these speakers can fit correctly into your 3... Since our 3\'s work with 6 X 8\'s. As for brands, I heard good things about both of them. Maybe someone on the board has them and could help you with the exact model.

Hello Everyone

The Clarion website is priced in U.S. dollars, and would not include the free sound deadening package which we are including with the speakers.

Hi,

I had all four stock speakers replaced @ lockdown ... went for MTX. After two weeks of breaking them in, they sound pretty good ! Definitely much better than stock.

Even without an amp, they sound pretty good.

I\'m a bigtime audiophile and *very picky*, so the only thing, I think could be a bit better is the mid section. Maybe it\'s just the Stock EQ (bass, treble adjustments only).

All in all clearly an improvement from stock speakers... stock speakers were a total waste of time.

Hi Jeff,

Will the SRR6916 6X9 Coaxial Speaker fit the Mazda 3 as I think the stock speakers are 6X8?

Thank you,
SpeedyG

Hello SpeedyG

The SRR6916 will NOT fit the Mazda3. Only 6X8, 5X7, 6.5\", 5.25\" sized speakers will fit the Mazda3. Our recomendation would either be the 6X8s or the 6.5\" sized speakers.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the quick answer, I\'ll take your advice and go with the 6.5\" MTX. Can you book me an appointment on Saturday 29 April for the install (earlier in the morning would be better)? So I\'ll get the TDX6502 6.5” Coaxial Speakers for both front and rear.

Thank you.
SpeedyG

:)

My wife\'s 05 MZ3 has bass, treble, and mid adjustments while my 06 MZ3 only has bass and treble. This is likely the result of the fact that Mazda used a different manufacturer for the head unit, and the two do in fact sound quite different.
