Hi,

My 2005 Mazda3 hatchback has some sound when I depress and release the clutch pedal (after approx half an hour drive). It\'s seen even when the engine is not on.

I took my car (with the problem reproduced) to the dealer, and the technician said he has fix 10+ similar problem. WD-40 will fix it for 1-2 days, but the real fix is to remove the clutch pedal (half a day of work).

Has anyone experienced this problem? Is it a common Mazda3 defect?

Mazda Kitten experienced this..

thread here (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=1732)

she had to bring it back to the dealership to get it fixed.. I can\'t remember if anybody else mentioned if they had this problem..

how come u didn\'t get them to fix it if they told you about the fix?? or did u already get it fixed (or in the process of fixing)?? and just wanted to post here to see if anybody else have experienced this..

btw, this should be in the \"Problems with the Mazda3\" section..

I will get it fixed. The technician ordered the clutch part for me and it will be arriving in a week. He said it will take half to one full day to fix it, as he needs to remove everything! Apparently, it\'s a big job. I hope I don\'t need to pay anything (bought new in 2005).

ok.. I was wondering why it wasn\'t getting fixed right away.. you shouldn\'t have to pay anything as this should be covered under warranty.. MK didn\'t need to pay anything (as far as I remember) so you should be in the same boat.. let us know how it goes..

It will be covered under warranty unless you actually broke the pedal yourself.
