I was just wondering if anyone here thinks it would be a good idea to modify the rules to the ForSale section.......there appears to be a lot of people who come here just to sell their stuff. Some may not have a problem with this and some may, I just wanted to see what everyone thought.

As long as there\'s no requirement that you own a Mazda3 ;)
I think it should be open as TM3 members would then have a better selection of goods (and a better selection of garbage too, I guess). For instance, if some enthusiasts from TOP wanna sell stuff, restricting them wouldn\'t be the best thing to do.
On the other hand, www.mazda3forums.com has done it, so maybe it works. Their forum has signficantly more traffic though.
So, if you\'re going to have a blanket restriction, you have to make exceptions to the rule, such as:
- people selling Volks rims
- people selling legit electronics at fell-off-the-truck prices
:D
And the list goes on...

As long as they follow the Buy/Sell rules then I see no problem with them posting their stuff.

i say no post requirment
you guys are good at outing, the guys who have garbage products anyways
all we can do is lose out on something my restricting it!
other that that, you could institure the policy, and then have a mod go over items from people who do not meet it, b4 it can be posted, but . . .
i say no min post requirment!

as nice as it would be to have a post limit, as long as the seller is selling a decent quality product (at least) at an attractive price, we should be ok.. as Broli said, we do have a good sense of crappy or overpriced products so we protect each other in that way..
having said that, it would be good to have at least one pic of the item (YOUR ITEM) with your handle/nickname and date written on a piece of paper similar to what chu315 did..
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/9274/img06929ke.jpg
shows that you have posession of the item.. just another step to protect the buyer..
I agree with majic and broli, as scary as that sounds, they both make great points.
I hate when I see something for sale with a pic from another website or car. Who is to know if it is indeed the exact same item. I think the labled pic that majic suggested should be manditory on all used items, my brother picked up a set of 17\" rims off of the FS section and when he drove all the way to meet the seller the 100% mint rims had a few scratches that a pic of the exact rims being sold would have shown. He was able to talk the price down due to the condition of the rims, but he was a little pissed off that the pics shown weren\'t the same as what he went to look at. The user name on the images could have avoided this.

too complicated. for a simple car classifieds forum, sounds like we\'re trying to implement standards like e-bay feedback and heatware (whatever that is).
it\'s always buyer beware.

so how far do you want to be your brother\'s keeper? you gonna guarantee every single transaction on this board? it\'s nice of you guys to think that you\'re doing the noble thing to protect a buyer, but you guys are talking about post counts, pics, dates, user names, etc.
i don\'t see this kinda thing on redflagdeals...
rules, schmules. loosen that necktie a bit peeps.
