Hey there everyone,
I\'m a first time poster...great forums and great info...everyone\'s super helpful! Thanks to kevin for helping me out with the sport invoice pricing too!
I was at the Mazda dealer in London ON...looking at a M3 sedan, 2006, GS w/MTX/AC/Power + Sport Package, + grad rebate + cash incentive and employee pricing plan (not sure which one)...came out to 24380 all in, cash buy...
any ideas if I have much room to haggle?
thanks for the help!

well...list price would be $25,850, if you use mazdas site. So after Employee Pricing..AND Grad Rebate..AND..Cash Incentives... You are only saving $1500????
Dosen\'t sound like a deal too me. I saved $1000 off mine and didn\'t really say anything...just asked for a better price. No cash this or grad that or employee shizzle.....
For $27,750 you can get the GT w/GFX. And knock it down to what you are paying for the GS.
Tell them you want a GT w/GFX For $25K or your walkin\'

They took the \'margin\' (MSRP-Cost) and they diveded it by 2.
They split the gross.. I could do better for you when you are ready. It is always worth the drive to Toronto.

It would be well worth your time to drive to Toronto. We are volume dealers and are not looking to make as much as smaller dealers. Give me a call or send me an email anytime

I\',m one of the Sales Managers at Avante Mazda. Make sure in your quotes you are receiving that there are no extra charges you are obligagted to pay on a new car. Things like admin fees or documentation fees are not part of Mazda Canada\'s standard industry fees.
You can email me at acalamia@avante.mazda.ca or call me at 905-780-9999
Good luck in your buying experience
Sincerely,
Anthony aka CAR4U
Looks like there are many options for dealers for you to purchase a new 3.
Do your research and you can save much more than you were quoted.
Trust me it will be worth the drive.

Don\'t worry Jeff, I have always praised your customer service (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=4413&page=1). You are the most stand up person I have ever dealt with in this industry, I wish I could say the same about your old place of employment.
I sent a friend over to deal with Jeff and he had he exact same experience as I did. He got the same pricing as I did. But after Jeff left the dealership, they totally dropped the ball. When my buddy went in to pick up his car they tried to raise the amount of his payments from the deal he had signed with Jeff. WTF.
Imagine waiting for over a month for a car and during this time the interest rates have dropped from mazda canada. Then when you show up to pick the car up with a bigger down payment and your monthly payment goes up from what you signed. Thank heaven\'s my buddy stuck to his guns or he would have been screwed.

Hey Caz,
I can see how the payment would go up if things like extended warranty, Wearcare or life and disability insurance were offered and accepted by the client. Yes the Mazda 3 program changed, the interest rate dropped from 7.6% to 5.9%in March . However, and the Biz can attest to this, it gives the client the opportunity to purchase one or more of the products I mentioned earlier and they can keep their original payment or pay a little
more.
That is the only way the payment would go up
Sincerely,

To bad that wasn\'t the case.
Nothing extra was purchased as you mentioned.
In fact he had a large down payment to begin with, so I doubt the monthy payment would have gone up significantly if he purchased one of these things. He increased his down payment by a large amount and the rate dropped by 1.3% and his month payments went up. Trust me he wasn\'t pleased.

Hey Caz,
I have discussed this matter with the Director of Operations, Mark Kellett who has been in the car industry for 25 years. He invites you and your friend to join us at the dealership and investigate this matter face to face.
This idea of Avante Mazda charging the client more than they originally offered on the same deal is unprecendented. In the 11 years that this dealership has been selling vehicles and servicing Mazda Canada referrals, never has this accusation occurred.
Whatever the allegation, he will match dollar for dollar the amount your friend thinks he has been asked to pay by Avante for the same deal.
We welcome the opportunity to visit with you at anytime.
Sincerely,

Thanks for looking into this, however, as I stated in an early post \"he stuck to his guns or he would have been screwed\" and got the price he was originally quoted. It just pissed him off that the person he was dealing with when he picked up the car (not Jeff Holley) told him a different payment than what had been agreed upon (even with the bigger down payment and drop in interest rate). In the end he got the same price for the car he had negotiated, meaning a lower monthly payment due to the above mentioned. It just doesn\'t sit well with people when stuff like that happens, especially with the reputation some dealerships (not yours in my opinion) have formed for the rest of the industry.
Anthony, I am sorry if I wasn\'t clear in the first few posts as some things get lost in an internet conversation. Put yourself in my friends shoes, you drop almost 30k into a new car then wait for over a month for delivery and then when you go to pick it up that happens.
