I will never buy a new car again

Bought a brand spanking new Mazda3 awhile ago. Sold it 8 months later and took a big hit. Bought a replacement used sedan (2 years old) for a fabulous price. Just sold it. In total, I probably lost $500. Drove it for 6 months! $500 for 6 months! What a deal.

Just bought a 4 year old car. It drives great and someone else has taken the big depreciation hit.

I\'ve always had an aversion to buying used, but after drooling over some nice cars that I would not be able to afford new anytime soon, I decided to buy used. Of course there\'s a risk that mechanical problems are around the corner, but I hoped to have that risk reduced by a thorough inspection. We\'ll see whether Stupidity comes running around that corner to take a bite outta my a$$.

that\'s why ;) if you kept it for 5+ years you\'d get decent mileage out of it and resale value would certainly be better after those years.. anyway.. the fact that you\'re happy is important :p so post some pix damnit!! .. actually, now that you don\'t have any mazdas, you should be banned from posting :D

So, the wifey was soooo against me buying an older car than what I gave up. With 4 times the mileage too.

Something along the lines of \"if the car breaks down, I\'m not driving you to the dealership...\" (she\'s kinda silly because Bentley has excellent roadside assistance). Let her drive it around for the last couple of days and now it\'s like \"I wanna trade in my MDX ...\".
