I accidentally managed to scrape some of the paint off my wiper arm when I changed my wiper blades before the winter and now one of them is starting to rust. I\'m thinking of doing a bit of a repair job entailing sanding the rusted area and repainting(most likely with a spray paint). My question is, has anyone ever done this before...and if so, what product do you recommend?

^ I never thought that would be eligible for warranty replacement.

If they won\'t replace it, try Tremclad exterior matt black or Semi-gloss black.

I used that on my civic and it looked like new.
Take the arm off before you paint (do both if the colour isn\'t 100%)

Yup, I used to use the same stuff on my Civic wiper arms and it worked beautifully.

My suggestion is not to wait and have them replaced now.

This is a little late in posting but while having my 24,000 k service done last saturday, i mentioned the rust on the wiper arm and the dealer replaced it for me under warranty....needless to say i was very pleased!
