Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet security 2006
Been using Trend Micro forever...1999-2000, rare occasions I get a pop-up, smokes all the addware, spyware, grayware, trojans, data miners... Luv it :)
Dosen\'t interfere with online games, it just sits there...waiting...to kill any bug that dares to trespass.
The one time I tried something new...Norton... It screwed up my hard drive so bad, I just saved what I wanted and wiped out everything and started over.
Quite a few people hard this problem...computers freezing/locking up, programs non-functioning, missing data. The store actually took my copy back becuase so many people complained.

AVG PRO (but it was \'free\'
I uninstalled my McAfee and Norton from my laptop after their trial was offer.
Norton really bogged down my laptop and supposedly its a wide spread problem when I googled it.
AVG has never let me down *knock on wood*

Lots of variety out there. I use Avast! Pro, seems to work for me. Hmm... Gotta try that AVG Free someday.
I\'m trying out Trojan Hunter right now, anyone use this on top of a virus scanner?

I used Norton for years until I upgraded my Sympatico account and Norton could not handle SSL connections. I am now using Zone Alarm Internet Suite - it has the famous and reliable firewall , a virus and spyware checker build in. So far its been working flawlessly.

Currently I use Norton. Best around I think. It is getting harder and harder to crack though... at least that is what I hear:p !!

I use Norton for several yrs, not a single problem for using lots of PC resources. I tried Mcfee (sp) and PC-cillin before but not on par w/Norton.

Both my Tablet PC and my Desktop PC are protected th the following:
Firewall:
ZoneAlarm Firewall v6.2 (Part if ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite)
Anti-Virus:
ZoneAlarm Anti-Virus (Part if ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite)
McAfee VirusScan v10
Anti-Spyware:
ZoneAlarm AntiSpyware (Part if ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite)
Ad-Aware Personal SE
Microsoft Windows Defender Beta
My computers have to be like a fortress, especially my Tablet PC. It constantly walks on and off wireless, unsecured networks around school etc.
In my opinion, ZoneLabs ZoneAlarm is the best firewall you can get. As for antivirus, McAfee is pretty good. It uses less system resources than Norton. If you are looking for free software, ZoneAlarm is available in a free version, and AVG Free is probably the best fre anti-virus available, however there is the occasional virus that is not included in it\'s definition files that Norton and McAfee cover.
