Way to got Broli, you finally got your grade 10!

I remember back when I thought I was done with assignments and exams and how shitty I thought they were. Now I have at least 2-3 deadlines a week and have written many exams to become a registered designer with the Government of Ontairo.

If your assignment reads anything like your posts, I\'d wait until you get your mark before you say that \"it is good\".

If you do actually get a good grade, then all I know is that I\'m not sending my kids to UofT - the standards must be incredibly low...

Bunch of farking kids!

You may not know it now but these are some of the best times in your lives. There will come a point in the real world where you will sit down with a huge dead line and wish you were back in school pulling an all nighter to finish an assignment.

The beauty of school is that it was life in a vacuum. You could always find a way to ignore a problem and get away with it. In the real world it constantly comes back to bite you in the ass until you finally deal with it.

(un)fortunately he\'s just a poseur.. i doubt that he knows what a haiku is .. or how to come up with one for that matter..

oh and \'googling\' isn\'t the same as \'writing a haiku yourself\'

Broli, you started univ since 1998, you should almost have your doctorate by now :)

Yep, I remember my last assignment, only to start work and after a few years, you realize you have to keep upgrading your skills...so the never-ending quest to stay relevant to today\'s employer continues.

I know that feeling. I just wrote my Professional Engineering exam this past Saturday and after having been away from school for a couple of years, it was very very hard just to start studying for the damn thing.

Broli

haha

civic lad, i am getting there!

rktci, i bet, when i take a few semesters without a class, it is hard to get back into studying!
my stats class, a few years back was a bitch, but lucky for me there was a cutie who need a tutor,
kept me up on things . . .

Now . . .

i didn\'t know what a haiku was, so fark off, but based on urs,
here is my attempt!

some sort of poem where the middle line is longer
and there are 17 sylables?

What majic said...

Usually haiku is written in three lines. There are five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third and It does not rhyme. Go back and fix the first and third lines Broli. I want it on my desk by 2:00 pm today.

i sure hope that you\'re not.. and it\'s not in how you \'pronounce\' it.. that might work for FOBs but there are certain rules to be followed.. hence it\'s called GRAMMAR not fonetix

Tell you what, when you can claim the title of a poet then you can deviate all you want. Until then, learn the basics.

BULLSHIT! Pardon my French.

But this is typical double talk to justify anything they want to do. Art has basic foundations. All artists learn these before taking them and interpreting them in using their own vocabulary. In the end the viewer, if open minded enough, will be able to read these foundations in the artists work.

I took 4 years of Art History while doing my undergraduate degree and I hated every farking minute of it until I saw my first work of Modern Architecture that really had a profound influence on me. Low and behold I was able to recognize the \"cues\" and \"hints\" the architect used that were the basis of many prominent classical buildings. It legitimizes the work and separates the true \"artist\" from the \"wanna-be.\"

Foundations are not just in art. They are in everything! Look at the maths and sciences. The world of people that want to take short cuts in life and it shows
