Specifically from Leslie and HWY7 to Spadina and Richmond St.
I need to get a friend there tomorrow morning by 10am, I don\'t live nor work in the downtown area so I\'m clueless......

drive to Finch subway and take the subway down. I used to work at number one Queen st., and the commute was hell.
The most direct way is also the fastest.
404 -> DVP -> Richmond Street exit -> Spadina
You can take advantage of the carpool lanes on the 404 since you\'re driving with a friend. The DVP isn\'t all that bad, so long as there isn\'t an accident. If the DVP is jammed up, exit at York Mills and use Don Mills southbound as an alternate, and merge onto the DVP again when the cross further south (a bit after Eglinton).

How long would that route take? Say if I want to arrive there at 9:45, does departing at 8:45 give me enough time?

That is entirely dependant on traffic, though 1 hour should be more than sufficient.

Carpool lane only gets you to the DVP. Once there the traffic is stop and go untill around the Bloor Viaduct.

Considering the last train from Langstaff station is 8:05, he\'s gonna be an hour early. Dork. :p

mypatpat,
I was wondering why you were so offended. After reading the post, I\'m sorry, my bad; misinterpretation. When I meant \"this ass-bstd\" I was referring to ME (not you) as I take the Go Train downtown! That was in no way directed to you. I make no apologies, however, for calling broli an ass-bstd.
