:(
Went to the dealer for a service the other day and this shit happened to me, I guess this cop must be low on his monthly ticket quota!
The cop stopped me right before when I was about to turn right to the Dealer on Yonge, he gave me two tickets, one for speeding (radared me at 79KM/h) and the other one for driving on bus only lane during restricted hours. :( I was on the bus lane because I had to make the right turn to the dealership! It is not like I was on the bus lane the entire time! I only changed to the bus lane when I had the Mazda sign in sight. The cop said I can only turn into bus lane when I\'m within 40 meters, WTF!
Oh and another surprise, that section of the Yonge is a 50KM/h zone, yeah I bet over half of you don\\\'t know that, I\'ve always thought it was 60, hell, when I went north on Yonge from 401 , I did not even see a speed limit sign anywhere along the street.

Long time reader, first time poster :)
Ever since I got this car, (Mazda3 Sedan GT 04) I\'ve been pulled over 4 times! I\'ve never got so much attention from cops when I was driving the Pontiac! :p
Geez, M3 is such a cop magnets~

Yonge is only 50 between Steeles and Finch, cause too many churches, schools and business. And if my memory still exist:p , any street doesn\'t have speed posted is going only 50 for city road and 80 for rural area.
for speed, I doubt you can fight it off, but driving bus-only lane, should quite easy to get rid of it, cause no physical evidence presented.

Yup, northbound Yonge St. near MoT is a notorious spot for the police catching people illegally driving in the diamond lane. That 40m rule sounds rather arbitrary, of course I haven\'t looked in the HTA for that specifically.

I would take it to court anyway. Maybe the cop won\'t show!
I think that you can request maintenance records for the specific radar gun used. If they fail to provide it or if maintenance was neglected, then you can get the charge withdrawn. Atleast that\'s what I\'ve heard.
Usually you can get most of the charges reduced also in court.
