my price range is roughly 400 dollars
i was looking at these 2 models

Out of the ones you listed I would go with the HP ones based on the fact that they will run Windows Mobile 5.0.
The palm is good and all, but for what you listed as your requirements you would want a pocket pc as opposed to just a PDA like the Palm would be.
for your price range I can\'t think of anything off the top of my head for suggestions at the moment.
** EDIT Just realized the first HP in your list does not have wifi... you gotta have wifi!

I don\'t think he can go wrong with either one. It\'s more of a personal preference as to which OS he would like to use. I\'ve used a Palm OS powered Sony Clie a few years ago but now I\'ve, apparently, switched over to the dark side and use a PocketPC powered HP2750. They are both OK for my needs, note taking during meetings, working on documents while away from the office. However, since my home and work PC both use Windows Outlook for my appointments, I appreciate being able to sync my appointments in Outlook without having to run another PIM program.

The Palm has a better screen resolution than the HP models (320x480 vs 320x240), but I\'m pretty sure the processors are faster in the PocketPCs than in the Palm...it\'s a Windows based OS so I guess they have to be.

Personally, I\'d prefer one of these (http://www.softpocket.ca/trio.html) because I sometimes leave either my phone or PDA at home.

O2s and the imates are sweet but these are way out of his price range ;)
I would like one too... I almost bought an O2.

I really want the ETen because the newer O2s use mini-SD cards and I had just bought a 2GB SD card for $100. I was so tempted to buy an O2 Atom while in the Philippines because they were relatively inexpensive and were everywhere.
