I\'m gonna lump Crappy Tire in with the Home Despot as having $hitty customer service.

In particular, I am talking about the Hwy7/Bayview store. I could not get the attention of any Crappy Tire associate. Even if you could locate the odd one, they would just walk away mumbling about being busy.

Home Despot is terrible now too. Especially the one at Hwy7 and Woodbine.

You suck!!!

Home Depot is where I\'ve experienced the ever so confusing -

\"Oh, this isn\'t my department.\" black hole.

It\'s happened to me far too many time - (maybe it\'s just me...) I\'ll walk into say the plumbing dept. looking for an item (say PVC piping glue so I can complete my potato cannon), can\'t find it, see store staff in aisle:

\"Excuse me, where can I find PVC piping glue?\"
\"Sorry, this isn\'t my department. I\'m just restocking shelves.\"
\"Oh. Thanks\"
Proceed to walk to other person, helping someone else with PLUMBING. Patiently wait my turn.
Store staff almost bolts upon being done with first customer.
\"Hold up - Can you help me find PVC piping glue?\"
\"Actually, I was just covering for the person here. This isn\'t my department.\"
Store staff takes off.

Think to self Does anyone actually work in a department here?

I figured that other than for cashiers at the Home Depot (which in theory could be automated like in some Loblaws) - I have no real need for the staff there (maybe expect the person that has mixed paint) as seeing I end up finding it without there help anyways.

I did \"enjoy\" the CS from CT at 7 & Bayview, I waited about 15 mins before anyone could serve me and had another 10mins for her to find some rebate coupon that should be included the 1st place.

there\'s a smaller CT at Dufferin and the 407 (just south of Hwy 7) that has better service (less busy than the bayview/7 one).

i was at the bayview/7 CT one day, picked up some dog treats while walking around...it said $1.99 on the counter, it scanned 2.39. I told the cashier and she said that i would have to bring the price sticker to her so i could get that price. i said that there are people that work there that will do that, she said that they\'re busy helping customers...i\'m like \"aren\'t I a customer?!\"...so i asked her if she seriously wanted me to walk over to get the price tag (all the way on the other side of the store) and she said \"yes\". i said fu c k it...

but, on the way out, i decided i was gonna get it for free (scanning code practice states anything less than $10 that there\'s a scanned price discrepancy on is free, for stores that participate in it) and waited 5 minutes at the \"Customer Service\" desk in the middle for an associate to say that \"yes the price scans different than the tag but only the store manager can change it\"...i said \"call him over\" ...the associate said \"he\'s busy helping a customer\"...i\'m like \"WTF am i?!\"...the manager walked close by (needless to say with no customer near him) and i told him about the price difference, asked the policy, and was told to have it for free.

was the 40 cents worth the time? probably not but, at that point, it wasn\'t about the money, it was about the principle.

Crappy tire now has this button at the desks there to call an associate. SO I decide to press it and see how long it takes for someone to show. 20 FREGGIN MINS LATER of hearing the chickie annoucing them to come to the sports section the guy shows up, ugh anyone need help...

So the guy starts helping me out with the hockey helmets and then I ask for the price on one, and his response... ugh, ugh, around $40-60. So I respond with ugh around is all you can give me? around is a great price!

its all kids that work in that place, if I cant find it myself I just freggin leave. Don\'t even let me get started on their paint department.

We should do something like this (http://www.improveverywhere.com/mission_view.php?mission_id=57) but for that Bayview/Hwy 7 Crappy Tire instead.

i also find that there are no service people available
but, after i get one,
i don\'t let them leave
if they tell me where to look
i say
\"i don\'t understand, Show me\"
seems to work!
then they can\'t go until i have the product in my hands!!!

did i send you that link???????? omg i was just gonna post it.. biatch! :D

anyway.. back to the topic.. my beef with the large stores (and even smaller ones) is that they employ summer students.. ok not that they EMPLOY them but that they don\'t crack down on them... quick story.. went to National, wanted to buy some cleats.. i knew what was available at sport check and for how much so i just walked over to the soccerr shoes area.. next to me TWO \'employees\' exhibiting traces of peachfuzz and bad manners chit chat some \'i banged this chick last night\' stories.. i patiently :sarc wait for the guy to finish (he\'s LITERALLY 1-2m from me and i have a \'puzzled\' look on my face - I NEED FACKING HELP HERE BITHC) so he finally finishes the story, gets a high five and walks over one step in my direction.

me: i\'m looking for some inexpensive but decent cleats, can you suggest any?
him: oh look down here (points to two lowest shelves) these are the cheapest
me: i can ****ing read - and i left the store

the worst is when the kids (or adults, but it\'s been mainly kids that are problematic) just don\'t give a sh1t what\'s what or where it is even within their own dept. from now on, i swear, even if it wastes my time, i am going to follow up with a manager so the stupid tit gets at least some warning :sarc

/vent mode off

bite me if their spllelling or grammer errors :p

Don\'t get me started on CT
I bought a new lawnmower from Brampton Ct a couple years ago, brought it home, put the necessary fluids in it (GAS!) and tried staring it up, needless to say it would not start no matter what I did.
I brought it back to the service desk and was told it would have to be sent away for service.
I nearly snapped but mentioned it hadn;t even been used! and why should I wait for it to be fixed when I should just get a new one.
I begged for them to bring a manager to the front for me to explain this to him-well smart ass comes up and tells me it\'s been used because the wheels have mud on them- this is where I lost it I asked the ahole if i was meant to start the mower in my kitchen at home before bringing it outside to make sure the wheels stayed clean incase I wanted to return it ?
I then made him get off his ass to tip the mower over and look at the shiny blades underneath that hadn;t seen grass -He was a smug little know it all that pissed me off even more when he mentioned he could only give me a store credit- I told him to give me me cash because I was going to buy a new mower at another store that would give the customer the benfit of the doubt before making accusations. Finally after me threatening to cause shit he gave me my money.

I still shop at CT but only if I really have to!

Fack you Crappy Tire!

I pressed the Parts Desk button thingy and it took forever to speak to someone. I wanted to buy some NGK Iridiums and the computer said they had six in stock. I couldn\'t find any on the shelves. Instead of looking around for me, the store associate just shrugged it off and said that the computer wasn\'t accurate.

Crappy Tire at Hwy7/Bayview, you suck more than broli\'s mom! And that\'s a lot of sucking!!!

I agree on the bad help... i.e kids. They get the $8 an hour if they help you or not. It is easier not to help. Hide in the back...look busy somewhere else, etc.

WOW - and I thought Mississauga had all the lazy bums working at Home Depot and Rona. It\'s a sad state of affairs when this is an epidemic across all box stores in the GTA. We went to Rona to look for storage containers that were listed in the flyer being on sale, so off we went to the nearest location. When we arrived we inquired a wandering dweeb in Ronawear where the items were located. Upon entering the area of the elusive items I found no such item that matched the desciption in the flyer. There was another type on a lower rack but it lacked the cover. Now getting frustrated i went on the hunt for a clerk. Finding one, I asked about the store item and if she could help us out. She followed me back to the section and looked up and down - finally remarking that they didn\'t have any. Must be a genius - why didn\'t I see that? I asked about the large pile of storage containers that didn\'t have covers. \"Nope, Can\'t sell any of these I guess\" was the reply. \"Great, then you\'d better take them all off the sales floor immediately\" I suggested and she promptly began gathering up all the incomplete storage containers and following my instructions. I walked away at least satisfied that I had 1) restored some kind of order to this store; 2) I made the bitch work and 3) I prevented another black hole for other shoppers looking for non existent advertised merchandise.

Next stop was Home Depot. We went to the area marked WAY down near the end of the store and checked out their inventory. Yup, there\'s what we were looking for - way up on the shelf closest to the ceiling. So close to the Holy Grail. I spotted someone in the nearby paint department. Told her what I needed and if she could get help as the item was WAY up there near heaven. After waiting around for 10 minutes, no one. I walked back to paint and I spotted my little chickadee. She wouldn\'t make eye contact and proceeded to walk to the front of the store away from me. THAT\'S IT - SCREW this place - I know another Rona location we can check out instead.

We drove for another 10 minutes (not in the Mazda3 as it would\'ve taken us 20 minutes) and arrived at the other Rona store. Hmmm, looks like the same layout.
Close but no cigar. They also had merchandise but not at ground level and no one around to even ASK for help. There was no reference to any specific items. I determined that the whole Rona store group were completely useless and that they didn\'t deserve my money or my patience.

So we drove to Walmart. They had lots of stock - and on sale. They turned off half the lights to conserve energy and it was still brighter than Rona and Home depot - who didn\'t give a care in the world to anything it seems. We\'ve been back to Walmart four times. My house is very organized now and I can tell you who is winning the retail sales wars in Canada.
I think I\'ll go back to Rona and Home Depot and fire EVERYONE. Whoops! I did!!!:)

When calling the Markham Road/14th Ave store for stock, the message says that their store is ranked number 1 for customer service. Wifey visited the place and confirms that the customer service is fabulous.

Wow, there is hope for big box stores.

Nonetheless, I hope the CT store at Hwy 7 and Bayview goes bankrupt. Die, die, die!!!
